As the hybrid work debate continues, one issue that gets lost is what employees want when they come back to the office. A Cisco global study of 14,050 workers across 19 countries entitled, The Race to Re-imagine Workplaces and Workspaces, reports that while 72% of employees are positive about returning to the office for some portion of time, only 47% believe their workspace is suited for hybrid work.

Employees want workspaces that include a mix of spaces, instead of a one-size-fits-all approach. They want workspaces where they can collaborate in huddle rooms, do focused work in quiet spaces, and access small or large meeting rooms with high-tech video and audio connections, regardless of where they work, whether in-person, hybrid, or distributed.
