Have you always wanted to move into freelancing? On National Freelancers Day, now is the time to make that decision and perhaps change your life forever.
According to the latest figures from IPSE (The Association of Independent Professionals and the Self-Employed), in 2020, over two million freelancers were working in the U.K. Indeed, new estimates from the ONS (Office for National Statistics) shows a slow increase in the number of self-employed people.
Andy Chamberlain, Director of Policy at IPSE, said: “The data shows clear and welcome signs the self-employed sector is finally moving in the right direction. Although overall numbers are still down by over 500,000 compared to the same time last year, we have now seen the second month-on-month increase in the number of self-employed since the beginning of the pandemic.”
