Attracting and retaining talent was hard in 2022. And without adjustments, companies may find it even harder in 2023.

As we move ahead, the confidence and abundance of opportunities that enabled the Great Resignation and “quiet quitting” of workers is giving way to a new environment wrought with inflation, political uncertainty and continued economic change.

But employers counting on a tightening economy to solve their talent attraction and retention issues are going to find themselves in a tough spot. That’s because so many companies have shifted how they work in recent years.
