Over the past decade, the gig economy has exploded. The opportunities available for gig work seem endless: rideshares, delivery drivers, copywriting, accounting, web developers … the list goes on and on. Not only that, but it seems like everyone either knows someone who does gig work part time or full time or does it themselves.

It makes sense, too. There are tons of upsides to the gig economy, and there really is something out there for everyone. Done right, gig work can supplement your income, help you achieve a better work-life balance, give you a chance to get paid to do what you love or even allow you to be your own boss. The key, of course, is that you have to do it right.
