The pandemic abruptly necessitated millions of people to work remotely at a scale never seen before, while making it clear that the in-office work environment we were used to would never look the same again.
Although some companies — including my own — already had a distributed or remote workforce in place (let’s call us hipster-prenuers because we were doing the remote thing before it was cool), many companies that thought this whole remote working experiment would be short-term are either staying fully remote or going hybrid for the myriad of benefits. Yet, with all of the benefits that come with remote workforces, one infamously elusive and mission-critical component of a productive team remains: morale.
