I volunteered for the Marine Corps right out of high school. I served for two and a half years until a training injury led to my medical discharge. While that was not the way I intended for my military career to end, I picked up many valuable leadership skills in my time serving and still carry them with me today. In addition, these skills have helped me successfully run my business.

As president of a consulting firm, my role requires me to make sound and timely decisions, keep my team informed, set an example and be tactically proficient. All these skills were ingrained into me in the military. It takes time and patience to become a leader, but you’ll know you’re there when your team is supported and working cohesively as a unit to drive business and grow the company.
