When we talk about the value of finding a mentor, it’s often in the context of young professionals just getting started in their careers. But mentorship is not only reserved for your first few years out of college. You can benefit from having mentors at every stage of your career. Trusted advisors who are invested in your success will support and guide you as you encounter various challenges, opportunities and decisions in your professional and personal life.
I was reminded of this recently when I attended a women’s leadership conference that embodied this spirit of mentorship. We were a group of mostly strangers, from different places, backgrounds and career chapters, but there was a palpable feeling of connection and collaboration.
