No matter how proficient you are in your trade, there must be a good reputation associated with your skills. I’ve seen freelancers who started out as writers, some more talented than others, now busy with data entry because they don’t have writing assignments in their hand. One of the reasons that contributed to this is the lack of a solid reputation as a freelancer.

While I have never interviewed them in person, it is easy to imagine their plight. A writer has to eat, right? Don’t fall into the same trap. It’s time to explore why it is important to have a solid form of reputation management and how the ability to limit damage can help you survive in a dog eat dog world out there.
