A mentoring programme created to develop leadership skills in female school students has positively impacted almost 20,000 people in four years.
Founded in 2022, SistersIN aims to empower girls aged 16-18 by pairing them with mentors from across business, public life and the community. A new report from the charity showed that more than 17,500 people in Northern Ireland had been positively impacted by 756 female students who had engaged with SistersIN.
To understand the impact of its work in communities, SistersIN commissioned research involving participants, alongside their teachers and mentors.
