Florida personal injury lawyers Anidjar & Levine conducted an investigation based on data from the National Safety Council (NSC) ranging from 2011 to 2022. They calculated the number of fatalities per 100,000 workers each year and determined the overall rate of workplace deaths during the 12-year period.
Rhode Island – 1.59 workplace deaths per 100,000 workers
Rhode Island leads with the lowest workplace fatality rate, recording 1.59 deaths per 100,000 workers between 2011 and 2022. The state also had the lowest fatality rate in 2021, with just one death per 100,000 workers, the best result in the nation that year.
