U.S. Economy Unexpectedly Loses 23,000 Jobs In July

After lackluster hiring in June, forecasters had expected the report to show a modest pickup in July. The Bureau of Labor Statistics came out with its report on the U.S. job market, and it looks weaker than forecasters had expected. Employers cut 23,000 jobs in July and job gains for May and June were revised sharply lower.
